Tepoznieves - Baja California Gourment Ice Cream. Tepoznieves was born in
a little Mexican village (Tepoztlan) where iron and copper could be found. This
village surrounded by its mountains, the lullabies and humming of the birds was
chosen by the god of the wind to become the home of his son "Tepozteco".
Thus an ice cream dedicated to him was born. "Nieve de Tepozteco" and
later "Nieve de Chinelo" which was dedicated demigods, men who spoke
with the wind, also "Xicun" was an offering to the guardian of the
sacred waterfall. Tepoznieves cordially invites you to share with them the magic
of Tepoztlan learning a little about their roots and culture through their
products. Their products are elaborated with the love and careful attention of
their people as well as the very best quality ingredients in order to satisfy
the most demanding palates in the world.
....Gourmet ice cream featuring such exotic flavors as Mahona (rose petals, two
types of chocolate, raisins, and almonds), Thousand Flowers (cream, almonds, and herbal tea), and Poblana (coffee, sweet
potato, and Bailys Irish Cream) from Tepoznieves of Baja California was a big hit. This wonderful little ice cream store was first
discovered on an MIT field trip to Rosarito and has been a favorite ever since....
....Puerto Nuevo Trip: ... On that warm and breezy day, we had ample
opportunity to see the local sights at a leisurely pace. Among the “finds” was a gourmet ice cream store, Tepoznieves, with 112
exotic flavors including rose petal/chocolate/ raisin/almond. We even celebrated a birthday with a toast and good cheer....
....On Madero, there is a wonderful ice-cream parlour, Tepoznieves. On offer are flavours made famous in the town of
Dolores Hidalgo - avocado, chilli and beetroot, to name a few - in addition to ice-creams and sorbets with esoteric names
like "lunar lullaby" and rose petal....
